A Marriage of Asgard & Olympus | Styled Shoot

After the success as the lead of my first styled shoot in December, I knew immediately I wanted to do another one, and I wasn't afraid to go bigger. I slowly starting building my team of vendors, but it wasn't until I had a meeting with Jade & Joy Events that we narrowed down our vision. A Marriage of Asgard & Olympus was the brainchild of Dana, the lead stylist for our shoot from Jade & Joy, and I love the way it turned out. After shooting in early March and keeping it under wraps for three months, I'm so excited to see it published by Baltimore Weddings, and share it here with you!

From Dana: "We wanted to incorporate the romance of a fairytale and the mystique of mythology. So when we settled on an Asgard-meets-Olympus theme, the idea of bringing a Norse god and a Greek goddess together in marriage was magical. The Norse elements provided the mood of the wintery forest, and the Greek elements gave us the spring florals and ethereal textures. Since water is an important element in each culture, we loved the fact that the venue was waterfront and that the portraits incorporated ships into the silhouette."

Historic London Town & Gardens was the perfect place to show the change from winter to spring, as their gardens were spotted with greenery, but not yet in full bloom. Jade & Joy brought this incredible styling moss that gave us amazing textures along with the florals and greenery from Little House of Flowers.

The vendors were all bundled up on the thirty-something degree day that we staged the shoot, but our champion models powered through in their gowns. The whimsical blush bridal gown was provided by Love & Lace Bridal Boutique, and our bridesmaid was dressed by Soliloquy Bridal. The bride also wore jewelry from Emily Rickelton's Chloe + Isabel shop.
